How the connection works

Successful calls return the provider's status and body unchanged. Every response also carries your remaining quota:
X-RateLimit-Remaining-Day and
X-RateLimit-Remaining-Month.

| 429 | quota_exceeded | Daily or monthly plan quota used up — wait for the reset or upgrade your plan. |
| 502 | upstream_unavailable | The provider could not be reached. Retry later. |
Keep your key safe
- Call the API from your server, not from browser or mobile code where the key can be read.
- Store the key in an environment variable or secret manager — never commit it.
- If a key leaks, rotate it from your subscription page; the old key stops working immediately.
